How the Internet Changed Education

The internet has dramatically changed the way education is obtained and even nurtured. Before the internet some people were not even able to go to college. With the creation and availability of the internet now almost anyone who wants to can take a college class, and get an education to make their lives better.

People who are in school now can further themselves by having knowledge at their fingertips. They can look anything up online that they want to and access information 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This is more beneficial making students more independent and making information easier to access, without the hassle of going to the library.

A downside is the lack of reliance a student may have towards their teachers. Instead of going to their educators for information, they can just Google it, or research a problem and find the answer themselves. Much like having to take a computer class and have a teacher teach you about websites, when you can go a website to learn about it.
